From the things I've noticed about loot so far is that progression by loot is Teir based if you'd like to call it that. Since everyone is stuck at a level cap of 70 with certain zones closed to us I guess it goes without saying that you must naturally have to follow a gear based progression.

So without further introduction here goes my limited knowledge on the subject. Ok.
I'd also like to point out that I won't be listing casters, because the point of a caster playing the part of a tank is moot. Rolling Eyes
Teir 1
Planes of Power (Ornate/Elemental)
AC ranges for melee 50-100 per piece of armor varying by class.
HP ranges for melee 100-200 per piece of armor varying by class.
With totals above natural standing stats looking like. AC +40-60 HP 135-160
Mobs successful hits range on the average 1500 per melee round.
Teir 2
Gates of Discord (Muramite armor) "Note only a small variance here between pieces"
AC ranges for melee 50-150 per piece of armor varying by class.
HP ranges for melee 150-250 per piece of armor varying by class.
With totals above natural standing stats looking like. AC +185-325 HP 1200-1700
Mobs successful hits range on the average 1500-2300 per melee round ruffly, with AoE ramp and flurry chances.
Teir 3
Dragons of Norrath (Cultural armor)-The Serpents Spine
AC ranges for melee 100-200 per piece of armor varying by class.
HP ranges for melee 80-150 per piece of armor varying by class.
With totals above natural standing stats looking like. AC +360-750 HP 1700-3700
Mobs successful hits range on the average 1500-3500 with AoE ramp and flurry chances. Flurry with these mobs can be burtal (note the 3rd and 4th teir Icy terror).

My summery suggestions for loot in any and all events coming down the pike would be try and stay with the formula at hand, but also include fun stuff, like and or not limited to illusion type items.

Some items I'd love to see would be 1hs that are on par with epic 2.0 for each melee class and or 2hs weapons on par with epic 2.0 for classes that naturally don't receive those types of weapons. I would also like to mention that graphics should denounce the meanness of the item think Sword of Truth from Seru or Fiery Avenger, some axes from different expansions that just look gnarly.

One of my number one issue if not the number one issue would probably be hate control this seems to be holding me back personally from diversifying my group.

More hate control is sorely needed for classes that have high damage outputs. What would help would be augments that could be added to weapons that lower hate list considerably for Bards/Rouges Beastmasters/Monks. This would make those classes more viable with standard group makeups more realistic.

I have at the moment Cleric/knight/knight/offhealer (rotational cleric/druid/shaman), and I would love to see Cleric/knight (Monk/Rouge/BST) offhealer or another DPS such as a caster, but without controlled hate my clerics just dump their mana on the high DPS classes.

I personally have tried many times to include them but having them not be a mana soak for clerics is close to imposable. I do use the plane of time weapon with confusing whispers (Dagger of Distraction) but it helps very little.

Magelo has an excellent lay out for armor progression (Armor set by category).


Also I know Boss has his hands full but please if he can look into necro pets casting Dragon Roar atm they cast it as a proc, when they should innately have a life tap, this goes for anything over level 65 focused or unfocused. They should be using Specter lifetap in the database.
